Walks & Trails

The South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is fabulous walking territory with a huge variety of opportunities to explore the coast, historic towns, and stunning countryside and river valleys.

We have included information on length of trail, the level of difficulty, local toilets, availability of refreshments, and access, along with interesting facts about the landscape, heritage and wildlife that will captivate you along the way!

Cultural Trails
Adding to our vast variety of walks are our new Downloadable Cultural Trails.  Along with North Devon AONB, we have jointly produced a series of themed trails to help you discover some of the county's hidden gems!

Car Free Days Out
View a series of downloadable leaflets dedicated to car free days out in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounding area, helping you to get our there, enjoy and learn more about the landscape around you without relying on your car.

South Devon Walking Festival
