Type: Very popular sandy beach.
Ownership: Privately owned (The Bantham Estate).
Access: Easy access from car park through soft sand. At northern end nine concrete steps with handrail.
Disabled access: Disabled access is possible. Fairly easy gradient from car park to the beach (200m).
Parking: Private car parking. 200m from beach. 750 spaces. Charges apply.
Facilities: Toilets 300m at end of car park. Pub nearby in Bantham village and local Post Office and shop 700m.
Lifeguard: RNLI lifeguard service operates 4th May to 30th September.
Activities: Surfing, suitable water area for young children when supervised, swimming, walking paths, no equipment hire.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the main part of the beach at any time of day between 1st May and 30th September inclusive.
Barbecues: Allowed in the car park, but disposable ones allowed on the beach if used sensibly. Please read the FAQs.
Slipway access: Small slipway located by the turning circle in the village, leading down to the estuary quayside, but with a very steep and narrow approach road.
