Hope Cove (Mouthwell Sands)

Type: Sandy cove with pebbles. Backed by rocky cliffs and masonary wall against road.
Ownership: Part Harbour Commissioners.
  Part South Hams District Council.
Access: There is a slipway from the road down to the beach or 10 metal steps with a rail down the side of the slipway.
Disabled access: Via a ramp onto soft sand.
Parking: Car park with 26 spaces. Charges apply. 100m from beach.
Facilities: Beach shop, café and pub at Outer Hope. Public toilets at Watchhouse Sands 400m at low tide from Inner Hope.
Lifeguard: RNLI lifeguard service operates 6th July - 8th September.
Activities: Coastal walks to Thurlestone and Bolberry Down.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on the beach at any time of day between 1st May and 30th September inclusive.
Barbecues: Only with prior written permission, please read the FAQs.
Slipway access: Owned by Hope Cove Harbour Commissioners.
