The Stagecoach no. 3 bus runs between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth.
Along the way the bus passes through some peaceful, deep green scenery of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and a string of characterful villages, beautiful rivers and creeks and gives passengers a bird’s eye view of the sea.

Cycling through the AONB provides access to the best of the area’s natural heritage. There are opportunities for traffic free and off-road cycling, leisurely afternoon rides or more challenging longer distance routes.

The mainline railway runs from London Paddington stopping at Newton Abbot with a branch line to Torquay, Paignton and Totnes.

A lovely way to appreciate the varied landscape of the area. Steam trains run along the spectacular coast from Paignton to Kingswear for Dartmouth via the passenger ferry.
Combined river excursions are also available. For example, the Round Robin takes you from Paignton to Totnes by bus, down the river Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth and then back again on the steam train from Kingswear to Paignton. This is a seasonal service and does not generally run in the winter except on special occasions.
