Fantastic prizes up for grabs in our 2013 AONB Photo Competition

Win a fantastic short break in Thurlestone courtesy of Coast and Country Cottages or one of our other fab prizes.

By entering our photography competition you can show us what you think is special about this area. The themes include living and working, pursuits and those fantastic views from remote wild locations together with the flora and fauna that are a key part of the landscape. We’d love to know more about the way individuals and communities spend their time whether working, playing or exploring!

The prize winners and all finalists will be exhibited at Harbour House, Kingsbridge from 14th – 20th October 2013. The exhibition will be open from 10am – 5pm with a presentation evening on Tuesday 15th October.


There are three themed categories in which to enter:

  • Living and working in the AONB:
    The changing face of farming and food production, fishing, community and village events such as fetes, shows, apple day, the school, the pub & the shop.
  • Wild in the AONB
    Wild landscape / wildlife, images that demonstrate the wilderness of the landscape and the flora and fauna that lies within.
  • Active in the AONB
    Walking, cycling and more adventurous leisure activities including coasteering, surfing, stand up paddle-boarding, sailing and more.


The overall adult prize is a weekend break in Thurlestone sponsored by Coast and Country Cottages. Visit
