Enjoying the water

South West Outdoors Festival

The  third 2018 South Devon Outdoors Festival organsied by the National Trust  is taking place at East Soar, https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/east-soar  in the heart of the AONB  from 5-7 Oct. The AONB team is pleased to be involved in helping to plan the weekend which will give people a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors at a fantastic location.

What is SWOF?

SWOF is a celebration of outdoor activities, adventures, pursuits and pastimes – plus fine food, great music and inspirational speakers – that takes place every year at a different wild site around the South West. Festival goers can camp for whole weekend or visit for the day, taking part in as many events as tickle their fancy.

Activities

Activities range from trail-running and mountain-bike challenges through to small-group guided adventures such as kayaking and climbing. There’s also plenty of action happening on site, where people can experience everything from axe throwing to yoga, campfire cooking, barefoot walking, wild food foraging and star gazing.

The  event is very child friendly and there will be many activities that people of all ages can participate in.
