Welcome to the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty e-bulletin. This is a regular news round up circulated electronically updating recipients on news of projects and developments within the AONB.

We plan to include the following:

• News from the AONB Partnership Committee and an insight into the current issues it is dealing with
• New features of the website
• Progress of actions identified in the management plan, how they are operating in practice, success stories and milestones achieved, and what the next steps are
• Changes in legislation affecting the statutory designation, highlighting any new commitments organisations have to the AONB
• Advance notice of important initiatives and events being staged in the AONB by the organisation or together with partners
• Update on funding bids with partner organisations to develop themes already in the Management Plan
• Reports on particularly innovative events held in the area, and press and media coverage secured
• We also include specific contact details for those seeking further information on a particular news item
