Art Competition
Organised by South Devon AONB & The Flavel Centre
'My Favourite View of the South Devon AONB'
In conjunction with South Hams Newspapers
Prizes:
- Art set - sponsored by 'The Office Shop'
- Film tickets - sponsored by The Flavel Centre
- Art workshop for schools with Brian Pollard - sponsored by South Devon AONB
The competition will be split into two age groups; 6-11 years -(Junior) and 12-16 years (Senior).
The drawing or painting should be A5 in size for 12-16 year olds and A4 in size for 6 to 11 year olds. Your favourite view could be a landscape or a study of a much smaller area: a tree, stone wall, green lane or building.
A map depicting the AONB boundaries together with further information on the AONB is available on this website. Prizes will be given for the first three entries in each age group.
The competition will be judged by a panel including representatives for the sponsors. The winners will also be invited to a reception launching the exhibition.
The winning entries will be displayed at the Flavel Centre in Dartmouth for the month of October alongside a photographic exhibition of the protected landcapes of the South West.
We welcome entries from schools - in groups of three. Please note that group entries are restricted to schools located within South Devon.
The closing date for entries to this competition has now been extended until 23rd September 2005.
