Marine litter has a major impact on wildlife through entanglement and ingestion. Litter not only effects wildlife, but every one of us. Litter can be a health hazard, off putting to tourists and cause fouling of fishing gear and boat propellers. It costs UK taxpayers and beach managers many millions of pounds to clear-up and dispose of annually.
