Beesands

Type
Shingle. Beach backed by access track, village green, lake and fields.
Ownership
Part private.
Part South Hams District Council.
Access
The beach is 20m walk from the car park. From unmade track along foreshore or access point through rock armour defences.
Disabled access
Disabled users can access the beach via one of two slipways. (Please bear in mind there is no boardwalk once on the sand).
Parking
Free car parking in Beesands along side of track, behind sea wall and in front of village houses.
Facilities
In Beesands there is a pub, telephone and toilets.
Lifeguard
None.
Activities
Bird hide beside lake (Beesands Ley or Widdicombe Ley), coastal walks.
Dogs

Barbecues
No known restrictions, but please read the FAQs.
Slipway access
Concrete ramp for pedestrian access only.
