Remote, quiet beach of shingle and rocks.
Ownership
Dartmouth Town Council.
Access
Coast path from Dartmouth Castle, winding and uneven path (with 23 steps from eastern approach and 27 steps with wooden handrail from western approach) and some chain railling. 70 steep concrete steps down from coast path to beach.
Disabled access
There is no disabled access to this beach.
Parking
Limited pay and display parking outside Dartmouth Castle. 10 spaces. Above the beach about 300m away. Additional road side parking nearby.
Facilities
Tea rooms, toilets, shop and information point. Ferry to Dartmouth at Dartmouth Castle. Benches and tables for picnic area.
Lifeguard
None.
Activities
Picturesque ferry trips from Dartmouth Castle to Dartmouth quay and town centre make a wonderful extra activity. Coastal walks. Visit to Dartmouth Castle.
